Health TECH Academy

If you are considering any career in healthcare, Health TECH is for you! This four-year public health program features:

• The first community health worker certification program in the country at the high school level
• Excellent curriculum covering key topics in healthcare including infectious and noninfectious diseases, mental and behavioral health, fitness, nutrition, and more
• Hands-on training in CPR/First Aid, vital signs, and more
• Partnerships with Kaiser Permanente, community organizations, and post-secondary schools Excellent opportunities like field trips, interactions with healthcare professionals, programs and conferences, internships (some paid internships are available)
• Students are together in a cohort through English, math, science, health, and some social science classes, creating a support network 
• Most importantly, Health TECH provides you real-world experiences and skills that will put you above the competition and prepare you for college and career.

Allied Health

This pathway is another opportunity to become involved in the medical field. At the end of this pathway students will have all the skill necessary to become a medical assistant or EKG tech. In addition to classroom training, there is also practical field work with internships which are needed to complete this certificate program.
