 Good morning Vikings! 

  • Hello Vikings!  Here is your African-American history fact question for the week.  Make sure to place you answers with your name and ID  number in the box in the main office.

    Question: Who was the first African-American to serve as a United States Senator?


  • Be sure to pick up an ASB application if you are interested in being in leadership next year. Applications can be found in the student store, front office, and on the school’s website.


  • Good Morning Vikings! Valley will be hosting our own Unity Day March 14th. If you are interested in attending this amazing day, please come by D – 5 between now and March 2nd to get a permission slip. Once again, if you are interested in attending Unity Day on March 14th, you must come to D – 5 and get a permission slip. There are a limited number so do not wait.

  • Attention all engineering students.  Please get your makerspace field trip permission slips signed and turned in to Ms. Steele in D7 at lunch.

  • Friday at Divisionals, the Wrestling Team fought a tough fight. We have 1 gentlemen heading on to Masters!! Brian Galena placed 2nd to head on to the Masters this weekend. If you see Brian, please tell him congratulations and good luck!! Only the top 3 wrestlers make it to Masters, so it is a huge accomplishment. 

    Also congratulations to Esteban Serrano, he walked away with a 6th place finish! 


  • There will be a Golf team meeting TODAY, at 3:30 in the Main Gym.


 Attention IYT brothers here are your announcements for the week

  • The San Jose State field trip is coming up this Saturday on February 24th. Field trip forms are due to T7 no later than this Wednesday February 21st.
  • There is no Saturday Study Hall this Saturday. If you are attending the San Jose Trip please meet in front of the school.

Junior News:

  • Attention Juniors:  Valley High will is seeking candidates for the Girls and Boys state program.   Selected students will spend an all expense paid conference week on a college campus.  Males will stay on the Sac state campus. Females will stay on the  Claremont McKenna College campus in Southern California. Application packages will be available beginning next week. Interested Juniors should contact Col Linster, In L-6 for this wonderful opportunity.


Senior News:

  • If you have not signed up for the senior trip, make sure you do it fast. You can pick up a permission slip from the front office or the student store. You can turn in your permission slip and money to the bookkeeper. Tickets are $65 and include transportation, ticket in to the park, and an all you can eat buffet.  Get your ticket before the trip fills up.
